Her dissertation was based on research in The Gambia, unable to do one thing at once Lucy also provided cover on a temporary volunteer basis for Daouda Niang another of our students while he was on leave of absence from ASSET also studying in the ICRT at Greenwich. Lucy has a BA in Social Anthropology from Kent and a Masters in Social Anthropology of Development from the London School of Oriental and African Studies as well as the MSc in Responsible Tourism Management – her dissertation was on the host-guest encounter in The Gambia focussed on the bumsters.
Lucy joins us as a trained Social Anthropologist with extensive urban community work experience in the UK, an MSc in Responsible Tourism Management, research experience in Mali and The Gambia and a year’s experie nce working for a consultancy, PLB Consulting Ltd, on natural and cultural heritage development based in Yorkshire.
It is a particular pleasure for me to welcome a former student to the ICRT, as a colleague.
