In opening the 3rd Word Responsible Tourism Day Fiona Jeffery said that "Responsible tourism is a way of life, it needs to be adopted within the boardroom and cascaded down to staff, suppliers and customers. The aim of WTM World Responsible Tourism Day is also to send out a clear message to consumers - that we’re listening to their increasing demands for a more caring and sensitive approach. Andrew Mitchell, Director of Global Canopy, reminded us of the plight of the world's rainforests, warned of the dangers of climate change tourism and asked us to consider our forest footprint.    more »
